Why Become A Member?
The Museum of Ceramics strives to preserve the historic legacy of East Liverpool as The Pottery Capital of the Nation. With thousands of ceramic pieces on display crafted by local ceramic artisans from the past 200 years, the Museum of Ceramics offers visitors a window into the story of East Liverpool and its inhabitants; a story that was uniquely shaped by a singular industry. In this way, the Museum of Ceramics holds not only the history of pottery in the Upper Ohio Valley region, but the evolution of East Liverpool and the many thousands of creative, innovative, and hard working people who have lived here since it was first settled in 1798.
Since opening in 1980, the Museum of Ceramics’ mission has been to embetter and enrich the lives of its community members and its visitors. However, the Museum of Ceramics is only able to preserve and share this important history due to the continued support of its members. Rockingham - $100
Members enjoy free admission to the museum, discounts, and notices for events and classes, newsletter, 10% off in the Clay Shop (gift shop), name on website (if desired), and two tickets to the members’ gala.

Parian - $250
Members enjoy free admission to the museum, discounts, and notices for events and classes, newsletter, 10% off in the Clay Shop (gift shop), name on website (if desired), and two tickets to the members’ gala.

Majolica - $500
Members enjoy free admission to the museum, discounts, and notices for events and classes, newsletter, 20% off in the Clay Shop (gift shop), name on website (if desired), and four tickets to the members’ gala.

Lotus Ware - $1,000
Members enjoy free admission to the museum, discounts, and notices for events and classes, newsletter, 20% off in the Clay Shop (gift shop), name on website (if desired), and four tickets to the members’ gala. Eligible for “Spotlight” feature on website. The members may have free use of the building for one event, to be held outside of museum operating hours. The guidelines established in the Facilities Use Policy apply to all events (available on request).
Additional Membership Information
Membership cards will be issued via email. They may be printed or kept on a phone. It isn’t mandatory that the card is shown for museum events or discounts. However, if we arrange any discounts with other businesses, the business may require it.
Communication will be largely through email! Members will receive the membership card and tax information this way. Please make sure to add your email onto the return form.
Memberships will follow the calendar year. Any memberships received during the last 6 months of 2024 will extend through 2025.
