The Inspiration Series
Artistic Inspiration from Pottery
The “Inspiration Series” is a series of art and history programs. Each program will feature a ceramic artist from the East Liverpool potteries. Museum Director Susan Weaver will give a brief talk about the designer and his/her work. Select pottery pieces from the museum’s collection will illustrate the designer’s style and technique. The talk will be followed by an art project; one that is inspired by the designer’s work. Artist Sheri Liebschner will guide the participants in the creative process. Registration is required, call

Eva Zeisel
October 14, 10:00 The first event in the Inspiration Series features the work of Eva Zeisel. Known for her lyrical and shapely ceramic work, Eva is one of the truly great designers of the twentieth century. She designed several lines of ware for the Hall China Company. Come see the temporary exhibit of her work and hear Susan Weaver talk about her accomplishments. Sheri Liebschner will then guide participants in creating a work of art inspired by Eva’s “playful search for beauty.”
